Dear Friend of Art in Action,

Please join us for a private docent-led tour of  The Steins Collect Matisse, Picasso, and the Parisian Avant-Garde
at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art on Friday, August 26, 2011 at 10:45 am. 

 

This exhibition reunites the Steins' holdings of modern art, for the first time in a generation, showing dozens of works by Matisse, Picasso, Paul Cézanne, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, and many others.

 

After the tour, we hope you can join us for a no-host lunch at the Samovar Tea Lounge which is across the street at the Yerba Buena Gardens. 

For those of you that cannot get enough of Gertrude Stein and want more, we have added a private one hour tour of Seeing Gerturde Stein at 2:00 pm at the Contemporary Jewish Museum across the street from the gardens. This exhibit illuminates Stein's life and pivoltal role in art in the 20th century.
